The former Milan President caught Covid back in September and was hospitalized for 10 days.

"I obviously have a bit of fatigue, common to all those who have gone through this disease,” Berlusconi told La Repubblica.

Italy saw the number of Covid cases raise to over 19,000 on Friday and Saturday and the Government will launch today a new set of rules that should be useful to avoid a new lockdown in the country.

“I am distressed that so many Italians can experience what I went through: the suffering for an illness, the fear for their family and friends, to which is added the pain for the loss of loved ones and the concern for the economic ruin of families and businesses," Berlusconi continued.

“Unfortunately, the second wave was predictable, I had already warned many times about this serious risk.

“Today, any undervaluation is unacceptable, we need the greatest responsibility of everyone and their commitment to follow the rules. The same goes for public authorities who should limit the damage for the productive system. We are ready to help on this.”
