Lille owner owes Elliott 117m

Milan face LOSC Lille in the Europa League tonight and Il Giornale reveals Les Dogues patron Gerard Lopez owes the Elliott fund €117m.

The newspaper reports this morning that the Elliott fund helped Lille, who were in a crisis a couple of years ago and a financial debt of €249m.

The Elliott fund saved the French club and Paul Singer decided to give Lopez a loan of €117m for the capital increase, a sum that should be repaid by August 2021.

Tonight, the two sides meet in the Europa League group stage at San Siro and both teams are unbeaten in the competition so far.
