The Federal Prosecutor’s Office and the Public Prosecutor’s Office are investigating into the coronavirus situation at Lazio in recent weeks.

The head of Futura Diagnostica, the laboratory Lazio relies on for the swabs, is reportedly a suspect and the prosecutors have confiscated 95 swabs to study them further.

Multiple outlets in Italy report they are under investigation of falsity in a public document, negligent spreading of the virus and fraud in public procurement.

The Prosecutor’s Office has requested the counter-analysis on the 95 swabs seized in the past few hours by the Guardia di Finanza and the Moscati Hospital in Avellino will carry out the analysis.

The swabs in question are those of the last round, when the Biomedical Campus in Rome found positive tests for Ciro Immobile, Lucas Leiva and Thomas Strakosha, but the same players came back negative with Futura Diagnostica.
