Sassuolo are reportedly joining Cagliari in the chase for Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan in January.

Tuttosport reports sporting director Giovanni Carnevali said the Neroverdi ‘won’t sell in January’ and stressed it will ‘not be easy’ to find the right players to strengthen the side.

But the newspaper claims Sassuolo have joined the chase for Nainggolan, who seems set for a move away from the Giuseppe Meazza this winter.

The Belgian spent last term on loan at Cagliari and the Sardinians tried to secure a permanent deal for the former Roma star last summer.

However, the newspaper confirms that Nainggolan has appeared on the list of names to possibly strengthen Sassuolo in January, giving Cagliari competition this winter.

Nainggolan has not managed to convince coach Antonio Conte at the Beneamata and has yet to start in Serie A this term, appearing only four times.
