Sevilla have reportedly adjusted their offer for Papu Gomez, making the move from Atalanta permanent for €5m rather than a loan with obligation to buy.

The proposal had been to take the Argentina international on loan with obligation to buy at the end of the season for a total of €6m plus €2m in bonuses.

However, Calciomercato.com suggest a new version of the bid has been made, which is worth less overall, but with immediate payment.

That would see Sevilla pay €5m upfront, approximately half the €10m that Atalanta had originally asked for.

Considering the tension between Gomez and coach Gian Piero Gasperini, and Atalanta’s desire not to sell one of their best players to a Serie A rival, this deal could suit everyone.

Hertha Berlin and Al Hilal are prepared to offer more, both to Atalanta and Gomez, but the player has his heart set on Sevilla.
