Italy CT Roberto Mancini has announced he steps down from the position after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and suggested three names to succeed him.
The current CT has helped the Azzurri revive their position in European football and qualified for Euro 2020 with 10 out of 10 wins in the group stage.
The coach has made it known he wants a return to club football after the World Cup in 2022 and told Tiki Taka: “I will no longer be the coach of the national team after the World Cup in Qatar 2022.
“I will return to coaching a club.”
During the interview, Mancini spoke about the candidates to succeed him and named Massimiliano Allegri, Carlo Ancelotti and Gian Piero Gasperini.
“I don’t know, there are many coaches who can do it,” he continued. “Allegri, Ancelotti and Gasperini for example, they can coach the national team.”
