The Belgian netted the opener from the spot sending Pepe Reina the wrong way in the first half at the Giuseppe Meazza.

It was his 299th goal for club and country, but it didn’t take long before the former Manchester United striker scored the 300th.

The 27-year-old found the net of the goal again goal before the break, although the goal was initially disallowed for offside.

Brozovic’s sliding tackle ricocheted off Manuel Lazzari’s shin and into the path of Lukaku to score. It was not an intentional pass. However, when Brozovic made the initial touch, Lukaku was level and therefore Lazzari’s contribution was irrelevant.

Lukaku joined Inter from Manchester United in a €80m deal in the summer of 2019.

He has scored 56 goals in 80 games with the Nerazzurri since.
