Former Inter striker Jurgen Klinsmann considers Romelu Lukaku to be ‘right now among the top five strikers in the world.’

His remarkable form has shot the Nerazzurri to the top of the Serie A table, as he scored two goals and created another for Lautaro Martinez with a run from his own half during the 3-1 win over Lazio.

“Right now he’s definitely among the top five strikers in the world,” Klinsmann told ESPN.

“He has this particular style, he’s not as smooth or elegant as Robert Lewandowski or Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but he has his strengths and he plays them to his best.

“Using his speed on the third goal to assist Lautaro, it’s his willingness to work hard for the teammates, it’s also coming back defensively and cleans things up, he’s a great teammate.

“I think he can be very, very proud of himself so far this season. We’re only 22 games into the season, if he adds another 10 goals in the last 16 games, that would be outstanding.”
