Ballardini was not happy with what he saw from his side in the first half and struggled to understand why Parma are struggling in the relegation zone.

“It was the worst first half since I’ve been here,” Ballardini told Sky Sport Italia after the match.

“We were nowhere, long, wide, very bad. The team was a team, Parma have been with the same coach for five years, it’s difficult to explain why they are there.”
