The Portuguese striker made his comeback from injury, as a substitute scoring the third goal in a 3-1 win over Parma.

“There are still eight rounds to go, this is an important victory for us to go forward with confidence,” Leao told Sky Sport Italia.

“The team worked really hard and deserved the win. We needed this after the game with Sampdoria, in which something just didn’t work. We knew to come out here today with the right mentality.

“I dedicate the goal to my family, as they always help me through difficult times.”

Milan achieved the win down to 10 men after Zlatan Ibrahimovic was sent off for dissent.

“These things happen. My teammates fought to the end and that’s the most important thing,” added Leao.
