Daniele Rugani returns to Juventus from his loan spell at Cagliari this summer, and Bologna are reportedly ready to make a move.
The Rossoblu want to reinforce their defence ahead of 2021-22 and SportItalia claims Sinisa Mihajlovic has identified Rugani as the perfect fit at the Renato Dall’Ara.
Bologna were interested in the Italian defender, who returned from loan at Stade Rennais in January and moved to Sardinia for the second part of the campaign.
The centre-back will return to Juventus after the loan deal expires this summer and Bologna are hoping to secure a deal with the Old Lady.
The broadcaster reports the Rossoblu are prepared to pay parts of the high salary of the former Italy international.
Rugani’s deal with Juventus expires in June 2023 and the 26-year-old has played 13 Serie A games with the Casteddu in 2021, contributing one goal and one assist in the process.
Cagliari have won five and kept three clean sheets with the Juventus loanee on the pitch.
