“Both sides are struggling, and experience will make the difference,” Borriello told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Not qualifying for the Champions League would be a disaster for Juventus. On paper, they are superior to Milan,” the former striker continued.

“Milan have surprised me, but at this point, it would be disappointing to miss out on the top four.

“I like Franck Kessié, while Federico Chiesa can make the difference for Juventus.”

Gianluigi Donnarumma will see his contract expire at the end of the season, and Juventus are one of the clubs interested in securing his services.

“Gigio has the right to do anything he wants. He is young and he is always up to the task on the pitch," Borriello claimed.

“I hope he can become a Milan legend, but I understand it’s difficult to turn down a big-money move.”

Does Andrea Pirlo risk losing his job now?

“It’s difficult to turn Juventus down, but he should have considered that sometimes it’s better to take a step backwards to move forward.

“He needs complete support from the club. It takes time. I think they supported him at the beginning, now I can see something is breaking apart.”
