Inter target Fabio Borini wants to remain in the Italian capital with Roma, his representative has revealed.

The Italian international has been paired with the Nerazzurri over the last few days, but Marco De Marchi has suggested that his client would prefer to stay with his present club.

“To be honest, I haven’t spoken with anyone from Inter,” the agent told TMW. “And, at this moment in time, it’s a little premature to talk about the transfer market.”

Borini was signed by Parma from Chelsea on a Bosman last summer. He then almost instantly joined Roma on loan, before the Giallorossi bought a 50 per cent share in him during January.

“The player is just concentrating on Roma for now and the end of the season,” De Marchi continued. “We’ll have to see what happens in the future.

“His co-ownership situation has yet to be discussed between Roma and Parma as they want to get this season out of the way first.

“Although the final decision won’t be down to us, everyone knows what the player’s wishes are.”

The former Swansea player has, on numerous occasions, reiterated his desire to stay with Roma next season.
