Italy squad take two days off

The Italy squad has left the Coverciano training ground and will not resume training until Monday, then leave for Poland on Tuesday.

The Azzurri returned to Coverciano this morning after last night’s 3-0 defeat to Russia in Zurich.

Cesare Prandelli will give the players two days of rest and they must be back at the training camp by midday local time on Monday.

There will be only a brief training session, then the team flies out to Poland on Tuesday afternoon.

Italy’s first match in Euro 2012 is against Spain on June 10.
