The ‘keeper made nine starts for the Rossoblu last season after joining from Padova, including the last six games, and following the Belgian’s departure the 29-year-old is desperate to feature in Coach Stefano Pioli’s plans.
Speaking with Sky Sport Italia, Agliardi said: “In my career I have never been gifted anything and will always aim to give the maximum professionalism to convince the Coach he needs me this season.
“When the team grows its confidence and experience improves, and I will put my heart and skill into Bologna.”
Agliardi started his Serie A career with his native Brescia in 2003, moving on to Palermo before dropping down into Serie B. He has never been first choice in the top Division.
Last season’s ninth place finish was Bologna’s best since 2006, but with former club captain Marco Di Vaio’s exit to the MLS and Gaby Mudingayi’s move to Inter, Agliardi is cautious on the coming campaign.
“I’m hope that [Gaston] Ramirez and [Alessandro] Diamanti stay with us as they are players who can decide a game in a moment.
“Many expect a great season like last year, but our first objective is to achieve salvation.”
