Robinho reveals fan snub truth

Robinho has defended his actions at the end of the game against Parma when he refused to thank the travelling Milan fans for their support.

The Brazilian opted to go straight down the tunnel at the end of the 1-1 draw, despite attempts by Daniele Bonera to get him to acknowledge the Diavolo support.

“I wasn't angry at anyone, not with any of my teammates,” he told Milan Channel.

“I was upset because we could have won against Parma and we didn’t. With all due respect to Parma – we should have taken the three points.”

Robinho returned to action at the weekend after struggling over the first month of the campaign with injury.

“I was out for three weeks and I hope to return to being in top shape as soon as possible in order to help the team,” he added.

“I feel important and I know that boss Massimiliano Allegri believes in my qualities.”

The San Siro giants are next in action on Wednesday when they face a tricky trip to Zenit St Petersburg in the Champions League.

“They are a strong team,” the South American noted. “They have Hulk, a friend of mine, who has a very powerful shot and he’s a great player.

“However, we can win.”

Milan drew their opening European Cup game this season when they were held to a 0-0 San Siro draw by Anderlecht.
