Former Italy and Milan man Gennaro Gattuso has confirmed that he has his eyes on becoming a Coach – but only at the end of his playing career.

“It is my objective to become a Coach, but only in the future,” the 2006 World Cup winner commented.

Gattuso, 34, has also been linked with a return to the Rossoneri following his move to Sion in the summer, but he insists that option is not on the horizon.

“A return to Milan? I certainly won’t abandon this ship,” he added. “I gave my word to Sion officials when I came here.

“I hope to open a cycle at this club and I don’t have any nostalgia for home. Switzerland has, after all, a high qualify of life.”
