Palermo have sold Afriyie Acquah to Hoffenheim, while Mauro Formica reveals “it was a quick negotiation process” when leaving Blackburn Rovers.

The Rosanero have been active on the transfer market and officially announced today that midfielder Acquah, who had been on loan at Parma, has joined German club Hoffenheim on a permanent basis.

New signing Formica arrived from Blackburn Rovers last night and spoke to the Palermo website.

“I am very happy. It was a very quick negotiation process, but I’m happy to be here. I know Palermo are in a complicated situation, but it is crucial for us to stay in the top flight.

“It’s important for me that there are many South American teammates at Palermo, as they speak my language and can help me settle.

“This is a great opportunity for my career, as being in Italy is truly important for me. I promise the fans sacrifice and humility.”
