Cuadrado: 'Salsa if I score past Inter!'

Fiorentina starlet Juan Cuadrado thinks Inter are nothing but a counter-attacking side and promises to “dance the salsa if I score” this evening.

“It is essential that we score first, because otherwise it’ll play right into Inter’s hand. Their football is all sitting back and counter-attacking,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“They get into the box with three passes and then tend to score at the first shot. Antonio Cassano is so good, as he starts out wide on the left and invents assists, but it’s a heavy blow for them to have lost Diego Milito.”

Cuadrado impressed at Lecce last season and tends to earn many free kicks with his spectacular runs.

“My first Coach used to give a prize to the player who could dribble past the most players with the ball close to his boot. I was crazy about Ronaldo, then started studying Ronaldinho,” revealed Cuadrado.

“Unfortunately, now in Serie A they know me and always kick me on the same ankle. That is football, it just means I must learn to be quicker with the ball at my feet.

“I don’t score many goals, as I don’t have the right cool head in front of goal. Coach Vincenzo Montella is making me repeat certain situations in training, as he really knows how to score goals. I just need to break the ice and then this ‘defect’ will disappear.

“If I score against Inter then I will dance the salsa to celebrate! I want to stay in Florence for many years and win something important, but I still need to win over the directors and Montella.”
