Pioli: 'Bologna use their anger'

Stefano Pioli says Bologna will use their anger against Milan when facing Roma. “We may bend, but we don’t break.”

The Rossoblu thought they had their first win of the season on Wednesday night when 3-1 up over Milan, but were caught 3-3 by two last-gasp goals.

They travel to the Stadio Olimpico this evening at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT), click here for a match preview.

“I never sleep after the game, as I always watch it back,” he said of his sleepless Wednesday.

“The team always has the same attitude, so we need to look back on the positives from Wednesday and correct the mistakes.

“We keep getting thumped by fate. We may bend, but we don’t break.”

Bologna face the Serie A leaders, as Roma have a perfect record after five rounds for the first time in their history.

“It won’t be a Roma side with a hangover, Rudi Garcia will ensure that, but there could be something more in terms of confidence. It is difficult to notch up six consecutive victories and it’s possible Roma will fear a slip-up more than believe they can add a sixth win.

“Francesco Totti is a champion among the best in the history of Italian football, while many of his teammates know how to attack the space.

“We were upset by the 3-3 with Milan, but I have a strong squad that proved it can react to setbacks with conviction.”
