However, injuries have kept the youngster out of Manuel Pellegrini’s starting XI so far.
“It is true that I have not played too much,” he told Tribal Football. “But when I got here there were a lot of players with most of preseason under their belt.
“And then I started struggling with injury as well.
“I was with the national team and had a small injury which kept me out – so that was a bit of bad luck.
“I’ve not played because we didn’t want to risk me with another injury. But I can say that the fans will see me at my best soon.”
