Galatasaray have communicated that Cesare Prandelli will be their new Coach and will be presented to the media tomorrow.
Reports late last week emerged of the Turkish giants’ interest in the recently resigned Italy CT, with talk of a multi-year deal paying a basic salary of €4.5m suggested as being negotiated between club officials and the 56-year-old’s representatives in Rome.
On from their President indicating a deal was imminent on Friday and the club’s sporting director speaking already of targets in mind with the Italian tactician, Galatasaray have now confirmed his appointment, subject to officially being signed off.
“Galatasaray’s new Coach Cesare Prandelli is this evening arriving in Istanbul,” Gala’s statement posted on their website reads.
“Prandelli is expected to arrive at 18.12 at Ataturk Airport and visit the facilities at Florya Metin Oktay [the club’s training base].
“Tomorrow, then, Prandelli will be presented to the Press at 14.00 at the Telekom Arena, where he will speak with the President Unal Aysal after signing the contract that will bind him to Galatasaray for two years.”
Prandelli succeeds Roberto Mancini in the role.
