“Barcelona have really strengthened on the market. Someone like Luis Suarez makes the difference and is an added danger for the opponents to deal with. Alongside Messi and Neymar it’ll be a fantastic trident.
“It would be a perfect team if only these players would participate in the defensive movements. Suarez does, the other two a little less. Messi used to in the early days.
“If I have to pick a team that will be just as dangerous in La Liga, it is certainly Real Madrid, while the others seem to me on an inferior level.”
Real Madrid won the Champions League in May, beating Atletico Madrid, but Capello does not expect another Spanish whitewash.
“For the Champions League I see Bayern Munich and Chelsea above the rest, even if the Spanish sides do remain dangerous.
“In all honesty, the Italian teams appear to be slightly inferior, although we saw with Atletico Madrid that hunger and motivation can make all the difference.”
Serie A does still have some top stars, including France midfielder Pogba at Juventus.
“He is a great player, in some respects a unique one,” continued Capello.
“Pogba is like Ibrahimovic when he arrived at Juventus. You need to mould these players.
“As for Milan, I hope they can return to Europe. Inzaghi is doing well and has already given them a great deal in terms of spirit, but if you don’t have great players then a Coach can only do so much.”
