Mancini: Lamela, Balotelli, Cerci?

Roberto Mancini has reportedly requested Inter sign the likes of Mario Balotelli, Erik Lamela, Alessio Cerci and Aleksandar Kolarov.

The new Coach replaced Walter Mazzarri on Friday and begins his new adventure at San Siro today, returning to the club after his spell from 2004 to 2008.

President Erick Thohir was at pains to point out Mancini is “aware of the situation” with regards to Financial Fair Play, meaning there isn’t much of a transfer kitty.

In fact, any major new signings will require others be sold first and Mauro Icardi is the most likely to depart in January, as he is wanted by Atletico Madrid.

A fascinating suggestion from Tuttosport is that Balotelli could be reunited with Mancio for the third time after their tempestuous time together at Inter and Manchester City.

Balo is struggling at Liverpool and has not scored a single Premier League goal, despite having more attempts than any other player this season.

SuperMario grew up in the Inter youth academy, but has never disguised the fact he is a Milan supporter and is fresh from a difficult spell on the other side of San Siro.

Much more likely to make the switch from Liverpool is Fabio Borini, who had been linked with Inter for many months even under Mazzarri.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the first target is Tottenham enigma Lamela, who has still not entirely settled down in the Premier League after his move from Roma.

The Corriere dello Sport points instead to Cerci, who only left Torino on deadline day in September to join Atletico Madrid.

His move could be included in a potential exchange for Icardi, but Atleti spent €15m on Cerci only three months ago.

As for the defence, Tuttosport tip Liverpool’s Glen Johnson, Torino full-back Matteo Darmian or Mancini’s old Manchester City favourite Kolarov.
