Milan apparently refine midfield options to Mario Suarez, John Obi Mikel and Thiago Motta, while Marco van Ginkel may be on his way out.
Having recently reinforced their squad with Alessio Cerci and with Suso set to be finalised shortly, the Rossoneri are being speculated as turning their attention to midfield candidates.
According to Tuttosport, Atletico Madrid’s Suarez represents a difficult option as Los Colchoneros seem unwilling to let him go on loan, but Paris Saint-Germain’s Thiago Motta may be persuaded to join il Diavolo.
The Brazilian-born midfielder is in conflict with his current club, and his agent has already confirmed that talks are on for a possible transfer.
In the meantime Van Ginkel, currently on loan from Chelsea, may be returning to his former club in the winter.
The midfielder has had very little playing time and Coach Filippo Inzaghi declared yesterday that he cannot guarantee a starting spot, prompting speculation that the Dutchman may return to London in advance.
