Udinese Coach Andrea Stramaccioni believes Sassuolo are the revelation of the season as he prepares to face them tomorrow evening.
The Neroverdi defeated Milan at San Siro on Tuesday, and currently sit a point above the Zebrette in 10th.
“Sassuolo and Palermo are the teams who are doing better than expected,” Stamaccioni told journalists in his Press conference ahead of the match.
“Sassuolo have made bigger signings than a team which is struggling for survival.
“Tactically Sassuolo have found their identity in a 4-3-3 system, a formation which plays to the strengths of their players.
“[Simone] Missiroli has improved so much, and that’s what allows the dangerous forwards they have to play.
“Sassuolo are a club with a clear goal, staying in the League, and we go there to try and take points.
“[Di Francesco] is a great Coach who is doing well at Sassuolo, overcoming a lot of difficulties.
“He’s one of the Italian Coaches who is doing well, I congratulate him.”
The tactician also discussed Udinese’s last fixture, a controversial defeat to Roma.
“We received plaudits but no points, and I don’t like that.
“Reading statistics from the computer is not good, what happened with Gabriel Silva wasn't a shot on goal, but it was a big chance for us.
“It’s true that in the second half we didn't create many chances, but Roma defended well. We showed that we are a team which will fight for every ball.
“We have created a lot recently, but we haven’t managed to convert that into goals. Now let’s talk about Sassuolo.
“Now we have three big games where we have to take points, to increase the total and help us toward our goal of safety.
“Sassuolo are a team which are in good form and are doing well, we have to think about tomorrow and try to do well.”
