De Sciglio is facing six weeks on the sidelines, after suffering a recurrence of plantar fasciitis, and according to reports in Italy Milan will now target Atleti’s Brazilian left-back.

Gianluca Di Marzio’s website states that while the Rossoneri are also considering a move for Fiorentina’s Manuel Pasqual, the 28-year-old is the club’s prime target.

The site reports that relations between the clubs are positive after completing an exchange which saw Fernando Torres return to Vicente Calderon with Alessio Cerci moving to San Siro, and discussions about Siqueira have already taken place.

Di Marzio believes that talks are continuing, with the Diavolo expecting a response in the next few days, once the Spanish champions have evaluated possible replacements.

Siqueira has previous Serie A experience, having spent four years at Udinese between 2006 and 2010.
