Inter midfielder Fredy Guarin has praised Roberto Mancini, saying he’s given the team more intensity.
Mancini replaced Walter Mazzarri on the Nerazzurri bench in November, and the Colombian midfielder praises his effect on the squad.
“There’s more intensity in our game,” Guarin explained to Tuttosport.
“We have a more attacking mentality that means we defend much higher up the pitch, starting from the striker who Mancini says must always be the first defender.
“Having been a great player, it’s easier for him to understand what we’re thinking, and that’s very helpful for the relationship that exists between a Coach and the players.
“It’s a reflection of his abilities that when he explains things he finds a way to make himself understood very quickly.
“He’s given me a lot of responsibility, and I’ve felt good in the last two games where I think he’s seen another Guarin.
“Mancini tells me to keep it simple, always be careful and to think that every pass, if played carelessly in my area of the field can lead to a chance for our opponents.
“There are so many little details that you don’t even think about while playing.”
