Marek Hamsik's agent confirms that the player is 'happy at Napoli', in spite of interest from ‘huge clubs’.
The 27-year-old was criticised by prominent football agent Mino Raiola at the end of January for not having changed teams since 2007, but the Partenopei winger has always maintained he’s happy at San Paolo.
The Slovakian international’s agent Juraj Venglos reiterated those feelings today in an interview with Radio Crc.
“There were some huge clubs with an interest in Hamsik, but he chose to stick with Napoli,” Venglos explained.
“Marek only wants the Azzurri colours. I don't know why Raiola said certain things, I only know that Hamsik is happy and he wants to stay with Napoli.”
The agent also spent some time discussing his client’s new tactical role.
“Now he is more involved in the middle of the pitch, earlier on he used to play in a different position.
“The current role better suits his characteristics.”
