Alessandro Diamanti praised Mo Salah and said Fiorentina “know our quality” after beating Juventus.
The Viola emerged 2-1 away winners in the first leg of this Coppa Italia semi-final, setting them up well for the decider on April 7.
“It’s a wonderful victory. Whoever goes on the field knows what to do and how to help the team. We are happy,” Diamanti told Rai Sport.
“We go into every stadium with determination because we know our quality. Obviously there are opponents, even strong ones like Juventus, but we did well tonight.
“We’ll play against the strongest team in Italy and do so in front of our fans. It’ll be tough for us, but certainly tough for them too.”
Salah arrived in January from Chelsea and has already scored six goals in seven games, including a brace tonight.
“I’ve played with fast players before, but Salah is very technically gifted and can also score goals.”
The Viola lost the Coppa Italia Final last season, so is this tournament their priority?
“Fiorentina do not have priorities, as that would be wrong. We just take it one game at a time and that’s the right way to go about it.”
