Mateo Kovacic’s agent denied Inter would listen to Liverpool offers, but noted Roberto Mancini “has no idea how to play him!”
There are reports the Anfield side are sending scouts to view the 20-year-old creative midfielder with an eye to a summer bid.
“There is absolutely no truth in it,” agent Nikky Vuksan told Croatian paper Vecernji List.
“Kovacic only renewed his contract with Inter in January. The clubs might’ve spoken in secret, but Mateo and I know nothing about it.
“Every week the English and Italian media try to find a new club for Kovacic and every time he remains at Inter.
“The Nerazzurri extended and improved his contract, taking his wages up to €4m. It wouldn’t make sense for them to do that if they didn’t consider him an important player.
“Probably the only one who doesn’t see it that way is Roberto Mancini, who doesn’t use him in the right way or for enough time. These Coaches have no idea how to play him!
“In any case, Inter have already turned down offers of over €30m for Kovacic from big European clubs.”
