Iago Falque: 'Don't know my future'

Genoa sensation Iago Falque admits “I don’t know where I’ll be playing next season.”

The 25-year-old was signed from Tottenham over the summer for €2m and has been hugely impressive.

He scored 13 Serie A goals in 30 appearances and provided four assists for teammates.

“I don’t know where I’ll be playing next seaason,” Iago Falque told La Vox de Galicia in Spain.

“The transfer market is often unpredictable, so to say where I’m going would be a risk.

“In any case, I am happy in Genoa and feel at home. There’s no pressure or excessive tension around me that I might’ve felt in other campaigns.”

Genoa are currently sixth in Serie A, but won’t be allowed into the Europa League because the club failed to earn a UEFA licence.

This could contribute to pushing Iago Falque away from Marassi.
