Arsenal and Atleti want Higuain

Gonzalo Higuain is reportedly asking Napoli to consider offers from Arsenal and Atletico Madrid.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Argentine’s brother and agent Nicolas is due to meet with President Aurelio De Laurentiis.

They will discuss future plans for the club, including the next Coach, and look at preliminary proposals from Atletico Madrid and Arsenal.

The price-tag placed on Pipita is €60m, as he scored 27 goals in 57 competitive games for Napoli this season, also providing 11 assists.

If the offer does not suit Napoli, then Higuain probably won’t push the matter further.

The striker has been increasingly irritable this season, culminating in his substitution at half-time during a 3-1 defeat to Juventus on Saturday.

Rafa Benitez is set to leave for Real Madrid and will speak at a Press conference on Thursday afternoon.

Napoli have to beat Lazio on Sunday night or miss out on a Champions League preliminary round spot.
