Roma are considering a surprise re-signing of Mehdi Benatia from Bayern Munich in the winter, say reports.
The Moroccan signed for the Bundesliga team a year ago for €28m and left on very bad terms, as both the player and the club accused each other of false statements and misbehaviour.
And yet the defender could still return to the capital, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
Apparently Benatia was already in touch with Roma during the summer, and is open to the idea of coming back under Rudi Garcia.
The primary obstacle however would be the player's price, as Bayern are unlikely to let him go for much less than they paid for him.
