Kalidou Koulibaly says Coach Maurizio Sarri 'helps me personally' and claims 'Napoli will do everything to reach the Champions League'.

The Partenopei appear to be a cut above their competition in the Europa League after qualifying early from their group, and representatives of the team appear to be rather open about targeting the biggest club tournament next year.

“On the pitch we run a lot, but we also have fun, and this is important because it means that the team has an identity and a winning mentality,” the defender told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“We're on the right track but we've got to keep working to improve.

“As for my personal development, Sarri helps me a lot, he's often talking to me, but then he follows all of the team's players from close. The squad is large and everyone is involved in this season.

“Personally I'm feeling good and I'm happy, because we aren't taking many goals and we're performing well.”

Koulibaly was then asked about the team's targets.

“We'll do everything we can to conquer a place in the Champions League, for ourselves, for the club, and for the supporters, who deserve it.

“But right now we mustn't look too far ahead. We must keep going one game at a time and stay concentrated on daily matters.

“The team is competitive. We saw that our mechanisms work very well even if there's a turn-over in the squad.

“We all feel like starters and every player in the squad will contribute something towards an important objective.”
