According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the clubs from Milan and Rome have been discussing the possible sale of Candreva for a week now, even though talks have been kept secret.

The 28-year-old's contract expires in 2019 and has no purchase clause. The Rosea suggests that the deal might be possible for €20m, even though Lazio President Claudio Lotito is believed to be a bit reluctant.

While the aim is to sign Candreva next summer, the possibility of a deal in January is not to be ruled out entirely, as Inter could balance it financially with the sale of Andrea Ranocchia.

The alternative to Candreva would be Valencia's Sofiane Feghouli, assuming that Napoli don't change their position on Mertens.
