Line-ups: Milan-Sampdoria

Sinisa Mihajlovic faces his former club and Vincenzo Montella seeks a first victory on the Sampdoria bench against Milan in crisis.

It kicks off at 19.45 GMT at San Siro, follow all the build-up and action as it happens from our LIVEBLOG.

Miha has seemingly been on the edge ever since taking over from Pippo Inzaghi this summer and the situation with President Silvio Berlusconi remains frosty.

It would be bitterly ironic if defeat against his former club, and a Coach who had been considered for the role, prompted his dismissal.

Injuries continue to rule out Mario Balotelli, Nigel de Jong, Andrea Bertolacci, Jeremy Menez and Diego Lopez.

That means M’Baye Niang partners Carlos Bacca once again, leaving Suso and Keisuke Honda on the bench, but this time Alessio Cerci and Jack Bonaventura are wide in a 4-4-2 system.

Luiz Adriano may well have been picked, but he’s been suffering from neck pain over the last couple of days.

Now 16-year-old goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is considered the first choice, so it’s no longer a surprise to see him start.

Sampdoria sacked Walter Zenga earlier this month and brought in Montella, who lost 1-0 to Udinese on his debut.

Ervin Zukanovic saw red in that game and sits out a ban, while Joaquin Correa, Andrea Coda and Niklas Moisander are injured.

Roberto Soriano takes the trequartista role behind Eder and Luis Muriel, but ex-Milan striker Antonio Cassano is ready to come off the bench when needed.

Another former Rossoneri player is in the side, namely full-back Djamel Mesbah.

The last two meetings between these sides have been draws, but Samp haven’t beaten Milan since a 1-0 result here in August 2012.

That remains the only victory in their last nine games, along with four Rossoneri successes and four draws.
