“It is a complicated League with many sides crammed within a few points. We thought that we were about to emerge from a difficult moment and we’ll aim to do that now,” said the Coach.
Diego Perotti needs a late fitness test, while Blerim Dzemaili, Giovanni Marchese and suspended Leonardo Pavoletti are unavailable.
“Evidently we have to play in a different style without Pavoletti, as he has specific characteristics. When he was playing, we scored consistently, but have to live with this situation.
“We face Bologna with the usual confidence and desire to do well, hopefully without running into unlucky incidents again. For the rest, confidence comes through our performances and it’ll be a difficult game.
“I honestly can’t consider ourselves in the Last Chance Saloon and I don’t share this way of thinking. I remain concentrated on the game and the difficulties inherent in that.
“We can’t keep dwelling on the past. At times we caused ourselves problems, other times we played a man down, but always tried to fight back.”
To bolster the squad, Gasperini called up Italy Under-19 striker Giuseppe Panico from the Primavera youth team.
