Inter Vice-President Javier Zanetti hopes “February will be different” and assures “there is no Mauro Icardi problem.”
The Nerazzurri host Chievo this evening, follow the action from all NINE Serie A games on our LIVEBLOG.
“It was a difficult January for us, fortunately it’s over and we hope February will be different,” Zanetti told Mediaset Premium.
“The lads want to show positive things. It’s a shame that all the good work we did is being compromised in the table. We have faith in what will come, hoping to rediscover the solidity we had a month ago.
“There is no Icardi problem, we have great faith in him. This evening he’ll want to prove all his quality. The decision to make him captain was shared by everyone.
“He is very young, but in the locker room he is recognised as a positive leader.
“In midfield we have many players who can do better than they have done so far. We signed Geoffrey Kondogbia, he still has to adapt and tonight will have a good chance.
“We bought Eder because he has different characteristics to our forwards and can be useful.”
