Zaza, Nainggolan suspended

Roma’s Radja Nainggolan and Juventus’ Simone Zaza have both been suspended for one Serie A match.

Both players were sent off during this week’s midweek matches, along with Atalanta’s Boukary Drame and Marios Oikonomou, and all four have been given a one-match ban.

Several players crossed the disciplinary threshold by picking up a fifth booking of the season, so Torino’s Daniele Baselli, Sampdoria defender Modibo Diakité, Alex Ferrari of Bologna, Palermo’s Mato Jajalo, Napoli midfielder Jorginho, Carpi pair Riccardo Gaglioglo and Lorenzo Lollo, Inter defender Miranda, and Nicola Rigoni of Chievo all miss one match.

Fiorentina Coach Paulo Sousa has been given a one-match touchline ban for “directing insulting remarks at the match officials” which he reiterated after his sending-off, as well as refusing to leave the dugout of several minutes.
