Milan’s parent company Fininvest denied talks with Bee Taechaubol had broken down in favour of Chinese investors.

The report emerged in La Repubblica newspaper this morning, claiming the negotiations with Mr Bee had been abandoned.

Fininvest released a statement a few hours later dismissing the suggestions and complaining that “it had little or nothing to do with the facts, a detail that evidently people now consider to be marginal.”

They did confirm initial discussions with Chinese investors, but noted this had never been denied and was some months ago.
