Inter Vice-President Javier Zanetti warned not to get distracted by next week’s Roma game before they’ve beaten Bologna.

It kicks off at 19.45 GMT, follow the build-up and action on our LIVEBLOG.

“We’d be making a serious mistake if we were already thinking ahead to the match with Roma. First we must focus on winning this evening, then we’ll focus on the next game,” Zanetti told Mediaset Premium.

“The team must give a sense of consistency to performances and results, something I think the lads are capable of.

“Roma are doing very well and Luciano Spalletti has found the right path, but if we don’t win tonight, then we can’t be ready to push next week.

“This season we signed players who perhaps took a little more time to settle in to Serie A, but we are laying the groundwork to do well in future.

“After the defeat to Juventus, the players and club realised we all need to give something more. It all depends on us and we hope to get third place.”

Zanetti was asked whether Ever Banega will arrive this summer, seeing as Sevilla insist there’s a clause that will automatically activate his renewal at the next appearance.

“We’ll see, we’ll see!”
