Milan appoint Brocchi

There are multiple reports Sinisa Mihajlovic has been sacked and Cristian Brocchi will become Milan Coach on Tuesday.

The decision was made today and confirmed in a three-hour dinner meeting between Brocchi, his assistant manager Alessandro Lanzini and President Silvio Berlusconi at the patron’s Arcore residence on Monday.

Sky Sport Italia are among several sources who all claim Brocchi will be in charge of the training session on Tuesday morning.

Brocchi is a former Milan player who recently turned 40.

He grew up in the Rossoneri youth academy and played for the club in several different spells, ending in 2008.

The midfielder finished his playing career at Lazio in 2013 and went into management.

He has been the Coach of the Milan Primavera youth team since July 2014, when he took over from Pippo Inzaghi.

Brocchi will be the fifth different tactician to sit on the Rossoneri bench in the last three years.
