Roma are without Miralem Pjanic, who is suspended for the game, and could go with a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1. Depending on that choice, Coach Luciano Spalletti will field either Diego Perotti as a false nine, or Edin Dzeko as a lone striker.

It also seems likely that the Giallorossi will rely on Kevin Strootman from the beginning, as the Dutchman is fit for action after his exhausting process of recovery.

Genoa Coach Gian Piero Gasperini will probably start Blerim Dzemaili in the midfield after resting him against Bologna. Captain Nicolas Burdisso is also an option, though it's uncertain whether he will start.

Genoa probable XI: Lamanna; Munoz, De Maio, Izzo; Ansaldi, Rincon, Dzemaili, Rigoni, Laxalt; Suso, Pavoletti.

Roma probable XI: Szczesny; Maicon, Rudiger, Manolas, Digne; Strootman, Nainggolan; Salah, Perotti, El Shaarawy; Dzeko.
