The sale of Milan to Chinese investors may result directly in the signing of Paris Saint-Germain's Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Swede looks set to move this summer, and he recently opened to a possible return among the Rossoneri, referring to Italy as his second home.

At the same time, Ibracadabra also left an open door for a transfer to Jose Mourinho's Manchester United.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, both parties are buying time and awaiting developments with the Chinese investors who are looking to buy 70 per cent of the club from President Silvio Berlusconi.

It appears the Chinese themselves have given the club the go-ahead to coax Ibrahimovic, and are willing to back his signing financially.

For his own part, the 34-year-old is believed to be nostalgic of Milan after he and his family left it unwillingly, and is ready to halve his €12m salary in order to come back. He would also ignore the highly lucrative offers by Chinese clubs, though he may end up financed by the same investors at Milan!

Negotiations for the sale of Milan should reach an end by June 15, by which point the club will go all-in for the Swedish striker.

The idea is to turn Ibrahimovic into the symbol of the club's new direction and rebirth.
