Coach Roberto Mancini was not present at Inter's latest transfer summit, but will decide on his future soon.

President Erick Thohir was in Milan yesterday and he had his traditional business dinner with CEO Michael Bolingbroke and commercial director Michael Gandler.

These meetings are usually Thohir's opportunity to catch up on what's been going on within the club, and Mancini is normally included.

Yesterday, however, the Coach was in Miami and did not take part in the meeting, not even contacting the directors by telephone.

While the Coach's absence can be interpreted in a number of ways, La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that Il Mancio is worried about the club's inability to retain the top players and sign the new champions he desires.

The summit was an opportunity for the Inter directors to discuss the transfer strategy, but the club's future remains contingent on a successful business deal with the Suning Group.

Should the Chinese investors choose to buy 20 per cent of the club's shares, the new influx of capital will have a huge effect on the club's market mobility.

While it is generally believed that Mancini will stay with Inter, La Gazzetta reports that he will clear the last doubts over his permanence in the very near future.
