Pallotta: 'Nainggolan, Rudiger staying'

Roma President Jim Pallotta flew in and declared “Radja Nainggolan is staying, we don’t want to sell Antonio Rudiger, but Miralem Pjanic…”

The patron arrived in Rome this afternoon from Boston and is expected to announce Francesco Totti’s contract extension tomorrow.

Reporters were waiting for him at the airport and asked about Chelsea’s interest in Nainggolan.

“I keep telling all of you that Nainggolan’s not going anywhere,” replied Pallotta.

“Pjanic is staying. If he has the buy-out and we can’t do anything about it, that it’s not my issue, but Nainggolan’s not going anyplace

The Bosnian midfielder has a €38m release clause in his contract allowing any club, in Italy or abroad, to activate it and then negotiate personal terms with the player.

“We won’t sell anyone and I am not worried by the Financial Fair Play limitations.”

What of Chelsea and Arsenal reportedly bidding €30m for centre-back Rudiger?

“I don’t have any intention of selling Rudiger either. I don’t know where these stories keep coming from. I like the team”

Will director of sport Walter Sabatini be staying on next season after announcing his departure?

“I don’t know, I haven’t spoken to Walter yet.”

Pallotta was eager to praise the Primavera team, who won the youth Scudetto last night, beating Juventus on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
