Zenit St Petersburg's Axel Witsel says Roma 'wouldn't be bad' as a future destination.

The midfielder, who is currently representing Belgium at Euro 2016, suffered a 2-0 defeat against Italy on Monday, but he has no objections to a move to the Bel Paese.

“Roma? That wouldn't be bad as a future destination,” he told Walfoot.be. “To be honest, though, I still haven't had any contact with the Giallorossi.”

Witsel is a long-term target for the club from the capital, and he has already worked with Coach Luciano Spalletti, but there is some competition to beat.

Calciomercato.it reports that Stoke City are after the Belgian, whilst The Guardian claims that Everton want to sign the player.
