Peter Hammer, an agent who works with many Slovak players in the Bundesliga, made an interesting revelation to German paper TZ.

“Marek is a real professional and a great champion who over the years has improved notably.

“I always tried to bring him to Germany and especially to Bayern Munich, but he told me he’s happy at Napoli and is treated like a God there.

“He will not leave. For Slovaks, the environment where they work is the absolute priority over anything else.”

Napoli captain Hamsik has been at the club since 2007 and is expected to sign a new contract to June 2020.
