Dejan Stankovic has left Inter after one season as club manager, it has been announced.

The Serbian was responsible for liaisons between the club and the squad, having been a Nerazzurri player for 10 years.

“After a season as club manager, Dejan Stankovic bids farewell to Inter and embarks on the next stage of his career,” a statement on the Beneamata’s website began.

“After making 326 appearances during his playing career, last season he returned to experience the Nerazzurri universe from another perspective, as club manager.

Stankovic also gave a statement to the website about his departure.

“I'm glad to have been able to do my bit for this club as an official. Inter is my home and this has been a wonderful experience which I'm sure will help me in the next stage of my career.

“We're going different ways now and new challenges lie ahead but I'll always carry these colours in my heart.”
